What does a token mean?

How many types of tickets can be purchased for travelling?
<p dir="ltr">One can travel by purchasing:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"> <p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Smart Card &ndash; If you are a frequent traveller. Also ideal for avoiding long queues.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" aria-level="1"> <p dir="ltr" role="presentation">Token/Paper ticket &ndash; Valid for single and return journey<br><br></p> </li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p>
After purchasing the ticket, is there any time limit within which I should enter the metro station?
<p>No, the token is valid for an entire day from the station of purchase.</p>
Can I exit from the same station I entered?
<p>Yes, you can exit from the same station where you entered within 20 minutes after entry. If the time limit expires, you will be charged a penalty of INR 10 per hour, subject to a maximum of INR 50.</p>
Is there an option to get a refund for my ticket?
<p>Yes, an unused token is eligible for a refund at the total amount from the token purchase station; however, it should be done within 60 minutes of the purchase of the ticket. For partially used tokens, a refund can be made in exceptional cases, like service disruption or unusual train delays due to any unforeseen incident/accident.</p>
